For the trucking industry CDL training tuition reimbursement is sometimes offered to a recent CDL school graduates to entice the student to accept an employment offer from the company. The tuition reimbursement payments are set up over a pre-specified length of time usually 12 to 24 months. The reimbursement payments will only paid for as long as the company currently employs the employee. Many trucking companies offer different programs that can pay from 50% up to 100% tuition reimbursement. Trucking companies that offer CDL training programs usually set-up a payroll deduction for the tuition. After the driver has been with the company for 2 years, they will start paying the driver back in appreciation for their services and usually only pay up to 50%.
